OUR BACKGROUND

Tongate Backflow is the result of decades of experience in the piping, valve, pump and plumbing industry. When I was growing up in Nevada City, California, my dad would take me to job sites where rough-in and top-out where just starting, and he would show me the ropes in the basics of plumbing before I graduated high school in 2004.

I served in the Navy as a Machinist's Mate for just under 13 years, and after separating honorably, pursued work in the cooling tower industry. During the on-set of COVID in 2020, I came back home to work alongside my dad in his plumbing company.

I earned my AWWA Certification for Backflow Tester in August of 2021, and have been testing and repairing backflow preventers for a variety of customers since; from private residences and restaurants, to hospital campuses and high-rise apartment buildings in San Francisco. I am starting Tongate Backflow to pursue personal goals and provide the best possible service to Northern California.
